![QOTD: Do you believe in demons?
I've asked, multiple times, if you folks believe in so many things that go bump in the night. Ghosts, witches, vampires, werewolves. I don't think I've ever asked if any of you believe in demons though.
I personally follow no religion and worship no gods but I do still believe in things are very strongly related to faith such as demons. I believe a corrupt soul manifesting itself as some evil entity is far more plausible than a great creator. But that's purely my personal opinion.
Though I have no faith I'm still quite a spiritual person, I think I have my mother to thank for that. She always said she was an atheist but still had a strong belief in the supernatural, she saw ghosts regularly and some friends she had, who were pagans, told me she was a strong medium. Apparently, they said, I have similar gifts but I just haven't "unlocked" my abilities. I don't know whether I believe that but it is an interesting thought.
That being said, my mum didn't half fear having certain objects in the house. She straight out told I was allowed to bring tarot cards in the house (loophole, I put them in my brother's bag) and I highly doubt she would have ever interfered with a Ouija Board. I don't think I would either if I'm honest. Even though I'm not sure if they truly create a doorway for spirits and entities to pass through I don't think I'd be willing to take the risk.
